CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is is a gentle and effective form of bodywork
that relieves aches and pains. It works with the micro motions in
the body to restore normal functioning of the systems. The goal is
to have the body free of restrictions.
By working with the micro motions and inherent rhythms of the body,
the rhythms move fluid back and forth over the joints. The nerve
endings function and fire and tell the muscles to relax. Joints
gently slip into place and the pain goes away. Clients' response is
one of deep relaxation and calm.
Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT®)
TAT® is a simple, easy, stress-reducing process that can have
immediate tangible results.
TAT is…a good way to help a person shift from being stuck in "the story"
to putting attention on the desired outcome. It is more than just
"wishing” or “visualizing" change. TAT helps resolve the barriers and
beliefs that may have held a person back, without having to analyze and
go through the trauma or stress again. It is healthy, holistic healing
that deeply touches the heart.
TAT teaches the individual how to help him/herself -- with the support
of a certified Professional if desired. There is no dependence on the
facilitator; TAT gently places the ability for accountability, growth,
and improvement with the individual, which results in more sustainable
shifts of consciousness and behavior.
TAT is a combination of the TAT Pose (holding acupressure points on the
front and back of the head) with putting attention on the Steps of TAT
(a series of freeing and empowering statements). (for more information

In 2005, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded a pilot study with scientists from the Kaiser Center for Health
Research and the University of Arizona comparing TAT for weight loss maintenance with two other approaches (Qi Gong
and behavioral advice). Each group was given 10 hours of instruction over a twelve week period in the method they
used. Ninety-two adults were involved in the study. The TAT group gained little weight whereas the other two groups
gained at least six times as much. There were no adverse effects of TAT.
Tapas Fleming is a licensed Acupuncturist in California. She developed Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)®
